MISSION STATEMENT OF THE ASoR
"To provide an excellent standard of reflexology education, and inspire and empower future reflexology practitioners"
WHAT IS
REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology is a complementary therapy based on the principle that all the systems of the body are mapped out in reflex points on the feet, hands and ears. By using specific thumb and finger techniques, the Reflexologist stimulates the reflex points in this areas. This, together with the deeply relaxing effects of the therapy, allows the body to tap in to its own healing abilities, opening up the natural pathways that the body uses to nourish and heal itself, and restore balance where there is imbalance.
YOUR
TUTOR
Your tutor is Karen Middleton. Karen runs a busy practice on the North Shore of Auckland since 2012. She has been a teaching in some form for all of her adult life, and began teaching reflexology courses in 2016. She looks forward to meeting and training many people in reflexology, and the other courses that she offers; enthusing them with a passion in their new therapy, so that many more people may experience the numerous benefits that these holistic therapies offer.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
On completion of your diploma you will have the skills to become a professional reflexologist using individual and integrated treatments of foot, hand and ear reflexology. You will be entitled to apply to Reflexology New Zealand (RNZ)
for professional membership.
Practitioners with a Diploma in Reflexology have opened their own businesses, or established themselves in clinics that specialise in many forms of natural therapies.
